Perfect Paradigm: Introduction

The term paradigm might seem confusing at first. So let's clarify what we mean when we say 'paradigm'.

The concept of personal paradigms is fairly simple. Life is filled with observations, lessons, and experiences and we learn by experience.

When we view these observations, lessons, and experiences as examples, they become paradigm examples. A paradigm example influences us.

This influence marks our thinking. As we observe these paradigm examples, we modify and develop mindsets that help us to understand and relate to the world around us. We're calling these mindsets personal paradigms.

In 1974, Harry Chapin published the song "Cat's In The Cradle". As it turns out, his song is a very simple and well known application of this concept. During the song, the son told the father, "I'm gonna be like you, Dad". But the father was just too busy for his son and at the end of the song, the father laments that, "My boy was just like me".

So the song "Cat's In The Cradle" is a good object lesson. As we observe a paradigm example, we construct a similar paradigm mindset.

This can be good or bad, but that depends upon the value of the paradigm example and how we respond to it. While I'm sure that virtually everyone understands this, we're not always consciously aware of it. This is a problem that can have very serious impacts on our lives.

When we understand the nature of our paradigms, we quickly realize that we can be programmed. And once that realization sinks in, we have to acknowledge that we have already been programmed.

Dealing with the normal, everyday events in life can be perplexing enough. But we should be aware that our environment is controlled by entities who would take advantage of our nature and program us. We've all been intentionally influenced without advice or consent.

When we become consciously aware that this is happening, we can exercise our freedom of choice and decide if we want to consent or not. But if we ever reach a point where we have surrendered our liberty to think and decide for ourselves, the notion of freedom will be just a delusion that blinds us to the reality of our bondage.

Our mission is to encourage awareness and to provide an understanding of the nature of our paradigms. As we become more aware of ourselves, we can better see how to apply the life solutions we find in our Bible. And that's how we begin to experience the real changes that give us the real power to deal with our real lives.

Wouldn't it be great if there were a Perfect Paradigm?

That's why we're here - There is a Perfect Paradigm!
